Managerial vs. operational apps

Steve Jobs recognized the difference in management productivity vs operational productivity. Early "apps" (he used this word) on PCs and Macs were focused on management productivity (5:00). We sometimes mask management productivity apps as operational apps, and this is because the people buying software are managers. Not the same. For software to get adopted holistically, software needs to be for everyone - those focused on their own operational productivity.
